Tim & Jennifer

Calhan, Colorado, located just east of Colorado Springs, has been the home of Tim and Jennifer Unzicker for over 15 years. Tim and Jennifer have grown over the years as a team, and feel the joint effort is a key to their success.

In the past few years Tim has shown multiple futurity/derby champions and reserve champions. Recently he has made a big splash in the world of NRCHA Bridle horses. Tim rode Smart Plain Pep to the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Bridle championship in 2006! What a win that was. In 2007 he was a finalist in both the NRCHA World Shows Open Two Rein class and the Open Bridle class, placing in the top 5 of each.

Jennifer, competing as a non pro, has done well earning cash and prizes at the NRCHA Stakes, the Hackamore Classic, the Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity and winning the Sandhills RCHA Open and Non Pro derby. She has also captured the high point AQHA Amateur Working Cowhorse title in 1999 and 2001. Most recently she has been 3rd place twice and reserve champion once at the NRCHA World Show in the Non Pro Bridle riding Supersonics.

Tim and Jennifer have been active members, and officers of the Colorado Reined Cowhorse Association for several years. The association gives them an opportunity to show their horses, coach non pros, and be a part of the growing cowhorse industry in the state.

Both are very happy about their progress in the horse business to this point, but also have a great understanding of how far they want to go. With goals set high, this promises to be a lifelong career for the both of them!
